Over the Fall of 2014, Jason Stalvey partnered with Barneys New York to launch his eponymous line of exotic accessories, proposing a fresh, hybridized vision of classic handcrafted luxury good imbued with easygoing street-wear vibes.
Following the success of the brand, Stalvey collaborated with Lane Crawford for a Fall 2015 launch expanding the brand across their flagship locations throughout Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghi and Chengdu. For 2016, Stalvey is set to launch in the European, Canadian and Japanese markets.
With a background in science and business, Stalvey’s path started with the desire to find the perfect alligator-skin duffel bag, something he had been searching for for years. Deciding to create one himself, he soon found premium leather supplier and manufacturing outlets that could product premium handcrafted goods in the U.S. With the idea of homegrown American luxury, he secured a New York-based factory to product his first sample.
Since launching, STALVEY has expanded into men’s and women’s collections, resulting in interest from retailers across the world. The brand has also been featured in the likes of ELLE, Harpers Bazaar, Departures Magazine, The New York Times, Forbes, Robb Report, among many others.
